Hello Everyone and Happy Library Week!
Many of you might not know this, but along with the baking and mommying I am also an academic librarian. So I ❤ libraries, and you should too.
National Library Week is from April 10th-16th this year. The week is dedicated to raising awareness of all the services libraries have to offer. Here’s what they have to say on the American Library Association website:
“Libraries transform lives and communities by providing free access to technology, career development resources, and the skills to help people thrive in the digital age.”
Appropriately, the theme is “Libraries Transform” complete with butterflies and I Love My Library buttons featuring the National Library Symbol.
In honor of Library Week I made up some cookies for the college students. Over one hundred of them in fact. I have to say this was quite a boost to my confidence to produce so many all at once! Here are some of them waiting to be frosted. Mmm… cookies…
Here are just a few of the finished product:
If you get a chance this week I encourage you to head on down to your local public, school, or academic library and see what’s happening there or join the fun online!
Love and cookies,
Sherry
