Yes, I know this post isn’t about icing. But I still decorated cookies and that counts, right? Right??
This week I had a request for my absolute favorite cookies: snickerdoodles! I’ve made this recipe dozens of times over the years and it never gets old. Soft, chewy, rolled in cinnamon and sugar. It’s buttery goodness with just a touch of crisp around the edges. For a little something extra, I like to sprinkle a little bit more of the cinnamon and sugar mixture right on top when they come out of the oven and they are still vulnerable.
These Cinnamon Bear Snickerdoodles are detailed with a cinnamon bear paw.
A dozen went to the order, another dozen went to my taste testers (aka: my co-workers), and a few stayed at home. That’s the wonderful/unfortunate thing about baking cookies to order. There’s usually some broken ones or ones that just didn’t turn out how you liked. And as you’ll likely come to find out, I hate to waste anything. Of course, I could have just made a half batch, but what’s the fun in that?
Until next week!
Love and cookies,
Sherry
